Wireless Woes

Where did you get ndiswrapper version 1.8 from?  The newest version I
can see at the moment is 1.7.  I have even switched back to 1.6 since:

1.  I'm a newb but can follow instructions pretty well - provided they
are accurate.
2.  The instructions for compiling ndiswrapper at
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WifiDocs/Driver/Ndiswrapper work
with version 1.6 but not with 1.7.
