KDE taskbar glitch ?

Yes.

I'm guessing your wallpaper is blue-ish?  If I recall correctly, this surfaced 
in 3.5.0 as part of a much larger issue.  Most of it has been fixed in 
3.5.2+, but this flash remains.

My understanding is that kicker (the panel), the applets (including taskbar), 
and KWin have been pushed, hacked, and dragged along--kicking and 
screaming--in order to implement the latest features like the transparency, 
etc.  When you push an API that hard, you start to run into problems like 
this.

I believe Aaron S., et alia are truly happy to be able to re-actor the whole 
mess from scratch for KDE4.  The new plasma interface should give us the 
power for the next round of desktop advancements.

As for the blue flash, I hardly notice it any more. ;-)
