Keyboard layouts not available in KDE 3.5.1

    I upgraded to KDE 3.5.1 and suddenly, the keyboard layout dialog (KControl 
-> Regional & Accessability -> Keyboard Layout) is empty. That is, there are 
no layouts listed. I checked, and /etc/X11/xkb/symbols looks just fine. Any 
suggestions?
