KDE 3.5.5 on Dapper

I noticed exactly the same thing when I updated from Dapper to Edgy. I found 
that my X packages did not update properly, so I forced them to update, one 
by one, and then checked that KDM was installed and updated. 

That fixed the same problems for me.
