IIRC all you have to do is plug in and power up the modem before you
boot linux.  The kernel will see it on ttyS0 and load any necessary
driver.  You can use 'sudo wvdialconf /etc/wvdial.conf' from a
terminal to confirm it was found and see which tty it's on.  Then you
should be able to configure you're dialer, being sure to pick
/dev/ttyS0 as the device.
