Since there was a plugins package for kdevelop3, I uninstalled
kdevelop and installed all the kdevelop3* packages. No difference,
both the two items above still occurred.
So do I just give up and switch on my Windows box? I sure hope that
the answer is No, but that's what it looks like I'll have to do :-(.
KDevelop used to work fine when I was running Mdv 2006 on this box,
but there's obviously some trick I'm missing to get it working under
Kubuntu. Doubtless an easy trick, but one that escapes me
nevertheless.
