Synching Kontact with file

I'm using KDE PIM (pi-synch) on my PDA with the same format as Kontact. How do 
you synch with a file?

When I set up two sources they remained separate files, that is the two files 
were shown on my desktop inside Kontact, but as soon as I removed the CF card 
holding the other file it was no longer available.

What I need to do is synch the info in both sources so that PDA and desktop 
have the same info. What I could do is install pi-synch on my desktop as 
well, but that means I have to then copy the synched results back to Kontact.

FYI: pi-synch is a variation of KDE PIM for PDAs and mobile phones, or to run 
off a USB stick. It also provides a Windows versions of the adressbook and 
calendar.
