blender on kubuntu 64AMD

Anyone has any ideas??

Using Python version 2.4
Xlib:  extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0".
ERROR: Unable to open Blender window

what library is it missing? I installed about anything I can think of, but
obviously not right stuff..sob
