You just use the file sharing in windows, and use smb to browse/transfer,
E.g. I have an XP guest on VMware and have set the networking to be
bridged to eth0.
The guest IP address (set manually) is 192.168.0.10 and I have the line:
"192.168.0.10 vmware" in my /etc/hosts file. So I can point Konqueror at
smb://vmware/ or mount the share to browse the windows shares.
>From XP you can browse the samba shares on the Kubuntu machine as long
as you have samba installed (don't think it is by default).
You just type the URL \\HOSTNAME in to explorer or map it to a drive letter.
I don't know of any resources off the top of my head to help with this
because I most did trial and error.
But I did find a couple of links on the VMware documentation site that
may help:
http://www.vmware.com/support/ws55/doc/ws_net_samba.html
http://www.vmware.com/support/gsx3/doc/network_samba_gsx.html
