Let it finish, it would be a mess if you don't. If you have to reboot, do, but only if you have to. If you do not, reboot just run " sudo apt-get intall kubuntu-desktop"
If you have to reboot, check for network connectivity and then do the command above.
Don't worry it has happened to me before. I tried to remove a package and it just uninstalled the whole kde.
Either way, you might as well reboot one the reinstall is done.

Subject: URGENT !!! accidently remove KDE, how to reinstall/rebuild Kunbutu
6..06 desktop !
Hi,
Trying to remove some programs, I accidentally (for not saying stupidly)
remove KDE with adept manager.
Actually it is not completely removed I am stuck in a window asking me
if I want to stop de Kdm daemon, I can't select "yes" or "no", my only
option is rebooting. Adept manager already remove 37% of the 150 KDE
packages.
What can I do ?
I am thinking to reboot and install kde again with the command line, but
what's going to happen with the 63% package which is still installed ?
Any idea.
Thanks a lot.
Chris
