kubuntu 7.10 is really suks to install !

I will echo the sentiments of most replies, I have just put 7.10 on my
new laptop and before that on some 2 laptops and 2-3 desktops and it has
gone flawless. My only problem was when I did an upgrade on one and 2
people interrupted by loggin off and rebooting since I did not warn them
not to. Now that PC will need a full install one of these days...
Did you try to make more than one DVD/CD? Did you try the ALT CD? Cause
one thing I had was that the Desk CD boots in a resolution some older
monitors cant deal with...
