I know that. But the fact that "iwconfig" shows wlan0 (and with a power
setting) argued against that, imo. otoh, the fact that you don't have the
blue light argues for it :-)

And on the third hand (I'm quickly running out of them...), I just did that,
turned off the switch on my wifi, and turned it back on, and lshal didn't
show anything either. The only thing it saw was a change to battery level.
So what does "lshal -u /org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/pci_14e4_4311 --long"
show?
