Strigi issue

1. Did you remember to click *start daemon* in Strigi and wait for it to 
fully index all your files before you click *search*? (Click *status* in 
Strigi to check.)

2. By default Strigi indexes all files in your home directory 
(/home/yourusername/) *and subfolders therein* recursively. Those 
subfolders are not displayed under Strigi's *preferences* but subfolders 
are indeed searched.

3. I start Strigi in Kubuntu Gutsy Gibbon 7.10 by clicking K (start 
menu) > Strigi - Desktop Search (just below the red-and-white (0) life 
ring).

I found above to work. I hope it works for you.

The key is I think #1 above.
