I have spent hours reading faq's, wiki pages, and searching Google
looking for most of my answers. I spend a hell of a lot less time on
this list asking questions than most, check the archives. I've even
managed to help once or twice because I took the time and made the
effort to research something. Sometimes I'm double checking myself.
Trying to verify what I "know" as opposed to what I THINK I know.
This thread started when I asked about editing fstab to get my other two
hard drives to mount automatically on boot up. I at least had done
enough to know that fstab was where I wanted to make the changes. As it
turned out I was wrong in what I thought I should do. If I had done what
I thought I should I stood a good chance of totally trashing my system
at some point. Something I would rather avoid whenever possible.
I would be willing to bet that well over half the people on this list
are as close as one can get to "experts". I see one hell of a lot of
good information going through here. Most are very helpful and polite.
With your attitude perhaps you should switch over to OpenSuSE and join
their list. You would fit right in. [ RTFM ]
