I had stranged experiences with kde4 rc2 on 64 bits (hardy : i can't
start a session debs are mostly broken) on gutsy 32 bits debs are
installing but hell to start a kde4 session... i endly succeded but i
don't know how !!!
I installed it too on a mandriva 2008.1 ( alpha)
But don't start it with kde3 session as it mess up your session !!!
Even on a kde4 session with kdehome set to .kde4 appearence of kde3
changes according to kde4 setting s !!
Otherweise on kubuntu 32 I have kde4 working with these lot of
improvments you describe... Now i am testing if compiling rc2 over debs
will still work ??
On nvidia gf5200 I have compiz-fusion working in kde4 with emerald.
