user switching does not work in Kubuntu 7.10

F8 actually (for the second X user), unless you want a third user. However,
when I do this, and the screen saver kicks in on the first user, X takes the
processor to 100%. Not all the time, but enough to make it a major pain.
And, I've experienced exactly what the OP is talking about.
The First X display is normally on 7.
