LCD Monitor recommendations

I had an old GeForce 4 MX 4000 card which worked fine (AGP) on
resolutions up to 1680x1050.  Framerate wasn't the best in 3D
screensavers, but the capability of KDE/Kubuntu/Xorg to drive those
resolutions is all there.

I use a NEC WNX2070 or something like that.
