No insistance on 1.5  1.5 is nearing eol.
THERE IS NO generic package from Mozilla for firefox2
for power pc

There is no 2.x in the repositories for 606LTS

We don't want to use a short term support version of
Ubuntu/Kubuntu.

In other words we haven't found anywhere to GET
firefox 2 for LTS unless we compile it from source


Operative word here is powerpc.

PCs have a generic version available from Mozilla
Sun PCs have a version available
Power PC has a vewrsion for OSX

No Linux ppc from Mozilla.

Debian has no ppc firefox2

No firefox 2 for 606 ppc.
