vonage v-phone and modules

I need to prevent kubuntu from loading and connecting the applicable modules 
to my vonage v-phone when I plug it into the usb port. There are NO linux 
client for this phone :(  and it grabs it and interferes with it finding and 
initiaalizing correctly in my vmware-player xp session.

Anybody have an easy way to do this? it is snd_usb_audio, and usb_storage, 
among a few others, however I don't want to just kill those modules as it 
would interfere with my usb stick use on other usb devices.
