If your having so much trouble with konqueror then try a reinstall or
try firefox.
I use firefox and have flash, java, realplayer, quicktime, windows media
player and vrml working with my firefox and this is in kubuntu 6.10...
So try what I said earlier. reinstall or try firefox.
