No - I was confused by your wording. Please don't construe my queries as
trolling. I have not behaved like one.
If I don't understand something, then I must ask it again, surely?
I understood you to be saying that old libraries also remain on Linux and thus
I was wondering why new apps (on old distros) could not also have their
(newer) versions of the lib they need on the system.
Since then you have talked more about \Program Files\Common Files\ on Windows
and I am starting to get a better picture.
