Bluetooth and Tungsten E2

I'd like to sync my Tungsten E2 by bluetooth. I can connect my handheld to the Kubuntu box, but I can't get either jpilot or kpilot to recognize it.

On connection, /dev/rfcomm0 is created. I can list the files in the handheld to the Kubuntu box, so the problem doesn't seem to be with the bluetooth connectivity.

jpilot has been tried with /dev/rfcomm0 and . with no success. kpilot likewise. KDE system settings show a policy of allow for * for Tungsten, which is:

115200
192.168.1.104:192.168.1.200
local
ms-dns 127.0.0.1
noauth
debug

Any ideas?
