I'm new to kubuntu, coming from slack/RH. am an old :) -in more ways than one-
coder. I look forward to Derek's help - 'cuz I will no doubt need it.

When I lend support, whether it is to a client or to a user group or ask for
support, I *try* to be as courteous, tactful and *clear* as possible, but
still I have my off days.

Derek reminds me of my business partner. He has rough exterior, but a heart
of gold. He would give you his shirt of his back, and in my case - my wife
and I could wear that shirt at the same time.

In my venue, I don't make it part of my business plan to gear for
an increased linux market share - but here's what's interesting:

I have friends and relatives who work for Microsoft (in one case) and
in Microsoft - based development who are of the opinion that an increased
market share of linux resources would be good for everyone, including
  Microsoft itself.

And if I'm posting in HTML, slap me with a wet noodle! (Just migrated from
 mutt)
