As I explained in part of the post I shouldn't have been messing with it
while I was upset, but I do remember reviewing the ops . . . all of them
were related to ALSA. Actually I don't know how it happened. The good news
is that Kubuntu is good enough to recover from an IO (idiot operator)
mistake.
