How to install on my laptop (Dell inspiron 6400) with ATI graphic card ?

You need to give more info.  What kind of screen is it?  Widescreens sometimes 
cause issues on install, and you may need to download the "alternate" cd.

I can't remember, but this may be something to search for on google, but 
there's a switch you can add when booting up the live cd that will help you.  
I think its "vga=761"  (add without the quotes) or something like that.  I am 
running a Dell Inspiron E1705, and Kubuntu runs very well on it.
