Hello, I don't know why the video is changed during switching, but I'll
share with you what happens on my systems. I have two DLInk KVM switches on
my network. I paired off a Kubuntu computer (Asus Geforce 3 video card) to
an Windows XP Pro computer (ATI 9600 video card). The monitor is an old Sony
Mutiscan 200sf Trinitron crt screen. The Sony screen has no auto resize
button, but when I switch between computers everything fits and looks fine.
However, when I changed the hardware, and swap out computers. This time,
pairing the Kubuntu computer to a different Windows XP Pro computer (using
same ATI 9600 video card), and a different screen (Samsung 930B lcd with an
auto resize button)...........I experience the same changes. Switching
between computers, my screen are slightly off and I have to hit the auto
button each time. It a trivial bug, but no big hassle because the auto
function fixes the problem within seconds. I hope that helps you in some
way. I think it has to do with the combination of monitor and video card
adapters. Somehow, the Sony Multiscan can adjust to the change, even though
it's an older monitor.
