kubuntu's start up graphic is "nice" but I like the scrolling text!

Thanks Tez, but now I do feel stupid. Or at least like I must own up to
having CRS <see below grin> My laptop is intended to be multi booted.
3 different linux and the vista it came with. (vista will only rarely be
used, and never without first disabling the internet connection.)
But in any case once I've got kubuntu working the way I like it my next
task is to set up my "real" boot partition... Once I get there I'd have
most likely eliminated the quiet and splash kernel options anyway. (none
of the examples I have to look at on my p3 desktop have them, But I had
evidently forgotten why I eliminated them. Thanks for reminding me.
* CRS : "Can't Remember Sh^Htuff" : In my case this mean that unless I
* do something the same way every day for a LONG time, or have examples
* of how I did it before (where I can still find them), I usually wind up
* scratching my head the next time I need to do a non-daily task.
