Kubuntu 3D Graphics Card Choice

AFAIK there are no real open 3D drivers. I *think* Intel has one, but I hear 
their 3D chips are not so good. Overall I think nvidia's closed driver is the 
one that will give you the least amount of hassle. This doesn't mean you will 
never start to use four-letter words when your kernel upgrades and your 
driver stops working, but you won't suffer as much as with ATi.
