Playing real player files

Derek addressed why changing the topic doesn't work.  My questions are, 
1. why go to all the trouble of changing the topic and deleting the prior 
message?  
2. Isn't it easier to just create a new message?  
3. Doesn't your email program have an addressbook?  

In kmail, if I start typing the list address, kmail offers to fill in the 
rest.  So does Thunderbird.  I assume evolution does too, though I don't 
remember.

Another feature -- I have it bound to ctrl+L -- is "New message to List".  If 
I am in the folder for kubuntu-users, I just press ctrl+L and a new message 
is started already addressed to the list.  What could be easier?
