can't install audacity (broken package)

Hello

I tried to install (Kubuntu 6.10) the audacity package. I obtain
however 
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
  audacity: Depends: libasound2 (> 1.0.12) but 1.0.11-7ubuntu3 is to
  be installed 
            Depends: libflac++5 but it is not installable
E: Broken packages

So I don't know how to proceed.
