Clever, but it seems to be a trifle complex when kde-guidance-powermanager
is installed by default.  Click on the battery icon in the system tray,
then under "Mains powered" and "Battery powered", "when the system is idle
for more than", select the time and then "suspend", "hibernate"
or "shutdown",
