Sound-issue in Gutsy

Dear all

Here is my specific problem: The built-in speakers and the headphones jack
seem to be connected, that is, when I plug in my headphones the built-in
speakers do not cut off. Also there is no way to mute the speakers without
also muting the headphones and vice versa.

Is there a workaround?
