I have 2 users, "Perry" is selected by default but needs "root" password and 
"guest" will autoboot without password after a few seconds if machine is left 
untouched.
I had no problems and I wonder why it doesn't work for you.
Could it be because I selected 2 icons for the users, or because I still have 
Feisty?
