Yes. I installed 3 manually (downloaded from mozilla) and run it from my ~/bin 
directory. I made an icon for it with this command in it:
/home/donn/bin/firefox/firefox -no-remote

I also have profiles working and made a FF3 profile so I can now run FF2 and 
FF3 at the same time. You will have to fiddle with profile a little, they're 
odd.

To get the profile screen, run :
firefox -a blah

Use 'blah' to get it to ask what profile you want. You can use any 
gobbeldygook as long as it's not a profile in the list.
