Before you try downloading the new drivers with mercurial, you may want to 
have a look at 
<http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/index.php/Category:Video_capture_cards> as that's 
how I managed to get my AVerTV DVB-T Volar working and have been using for 
almost a month now with Kaffeine.
