Yeah, that's a good trick.
I wish there was (perhaps there is) a char like '.' that meant 'the dir before
we changed to this dir'. If it was '-' then:
mv -/filename .
would rock.
I sometimes do this:
from=`pwd`
cd /some/other/dir
cp $from/filename .
\d
BTW - no idea about KDE4, still have not tried it.
