Kubuntu issues

Hi John,

I have the same problem as you, it happend after the update of kde 4 in march.
(I think it was kde 4.0.2)
And i still have no solution for it.
All I do now is when kdm comes up I choose the console login option in the 
dropdown menu.
And in the console I can use my password, and fire up x with startx.

I would like too have it fixed because now I can only use kde 3.5.x.
