I have noticed (on my laptop) that if I have eth0 active, my wireless does not work or goes down or hangs the machine. I deactivated eth0 and all is well. ifconfig eth0 down Also remove it from the /etc/network/interfaces file (or just remark it out). That might help. I hope. \d
