It was a big shock to me when I first googled and found archives from
discussion lists; all the messages I clicked on seemed to say the same thing.

Later I understood how list went and why it was so... applied some quick
reading/recognising method or looked for the text whithout the ">"
Is that the reason you say that the archived tutorials are not very easy to
follow?
Simple removal of redundancies would go a good way but I expect quirks if one
tries to automate this process.
Are you offering to do it manually/or supervise, to offer a "cleaned version"?
