firefox 3 lost my history and bookmarks

Did you crash your computer in between that? I had a similar problem when I
crashed my computer while messing around with Wine. I lost all saved setting
except for bookmarks.

As for fixing it, you may just have to copy and paste the urls you found
into your bookmarks and restart.
