Thought that someone in this group would have an answer for this question. Have a 186 page book scanned into .ps format. Directory of the files occupies 540MB. When I merge the files into one using psmerge -ooutfile *.ps the resulting file is 819MB. Why the bloat? Any way to do this with less fluff? TIA Chuck
