howto dual boot vista/kubuntu 8.04 using vista bootloader with easybcd ?

You have a couple of options:
1) When using the Desktop CD, when you get to the final step prior to clicking
the installation, click the advanced button and tell it not to install GRUB. If
you do not install GRUB then you will have to manually edit your Vista
bootloader information.
2) Install Kubuntu utilizing Wubi from the Desktop CD. Insert the Desktop CD
into your CDROM drive while Vista is running. The autorun should kick in and
bring you to a main window. From there you could select the Wubi stuff. This
will install Kubuntu to a virtual partition that is created with Wubi. Wubi
will even edit your Vista bootloader for you. Wubi will install Kubuntu on your
Vista box just like you would install any other piece of software. So removal
is as easy as doing the Uninstall stuff for Vista.
