Konqueror-only proxy?

I hope the answer for you is "yes" but from my experience, the proxy  
is persistent across applications in the KDE suite.  To work around  
it, I ended up using Firefox with a proxy, and disabled the proxy in  
KDE's config. :(

My Mac's also suffer from this affliction - you set the proxy in  
network settings which apply to basically everything :P
