it used to display a window in KDE3 showing us multiple options.
and, when i insert anything, USB disk, cd, or anything, the recently
*somethng* media plasmoid, notifies me, once i click it, the media
gets mounted, and dolphin starts. but if i don't click it, the media
would still be unmounted, and i can't browse with konqueror to it, i
have to manually mount it in a konsole, which is a pain. i have
konqueror set as default app for handling directories, and all apps
respect this and open folders in konqi, except this plasmoid which
fires up dolphin! i want the media to be either automagically mounted,
or given a list of options to what we want to do. if the KDE team
decided that the list of options i bad, or windows-like and so dropped
it. maybe they can put such a feature in the plasmoid?

uhm.. what icon? it used to show on Desktop, and i was able to
righ-click mount/unmount, this used to be very handy, butwith
theremoval of the Desktop, this feature is lost. the only way to
unmount is through dolphin, a menu in the left upper corner of the
display space. this option should be included in konqueror.

same here. ejected media, no matter what app is doing the ejection,
the drawer goes straight back! this is not a hardware issue since the
eject button on the case works fine, and windows doesn't have this as
well.

nice to hear, can't wait :-)

what's wrong with GNOME? i haven't tried XFCE yet, but GNOME seems
good enough, and runs KDE4 apps brilliantly
