Well, no.  It's no different from KDE3 than KDE3 was from KDE2 and KDE2 
was from KDE1 - I've used them all

We got that at KDE2

I don't think KDE has any new hardware control - that's all at a lower 
level.

Nope - and for me, KDE2 was a huge step backwards - much more so than 
KDE3 to KDE4, because it was also coupled with a move from the moribund 
Corel Linux to Debian, losing almost all of the neat features that Corel 
had added to KDE.

Not that I can see....  I'm still managing my system as I used to.
