After I installed the processor and locked it in place, I tried to 
remove it by hand to see if it was properly locked.  I would not come 
up.  Other than that, how do you verify the processor is locked in 
place?  Additionally, the pins appear completely undamaged.  I would 
think there would be some evidence of damage if the locking device did 
no work.
