I have been keeping my head down but I totally agree with you. I have
never heard that Gnome is better for nowbies ether. I started with KDE
then tried Gnome because it was the root of Ubuntu, hated it and went
back to KDE. I start everyone with both. I have yet to have someone
like Gnome over KDE when they move from XP. I have never moved someone
from an Apple but maybe they would like Gnome? I also have no idea why
he thinks KDE is harder than Gnome. I would not call ether of them
hard to use or install unless you have bad Linux hardware.
