ok. looks mysterious. I often have problems with kontact app when 
upgrading it. This is a compound application, and every it's atom should 
be updated in order to get all this zoo working. I've found that 
'kdepim' package is the meta  package  which installs all necessary 
applications (there are many separate packages like 'kmail', 
'akregator', 'kontact' and this confuses).

Could you please ensure that 'kdepim' is installed on your system?
try
sudo apt-get install kdepim
