some updates that are not intalling

Hello all
for some time my little red update icon at te bottom right has been asking me 
to install updates
When I click on the icon the followng package appear

amarok 
amorak-xine
k3b
libavcodec1d
all are marked upgradable but....
all request 'no change' 
do Ineed to change some setting
HH 8.10
I am not sure of the kde version... 

any help would be appreciated.

Lastly.. I  have installed compiz the only feature I would like is to hover 
over a minimized screen and see a small pop up wndow.. does  anyone know  ow 
to activate this?
