KOffice vs. OpenOffice

Koffice is nice  enough, and much 'lighter' but it isn't quite as powerful as 
OOo, My wife likes the simplicity (of appearance) of Kword as compared to OOo 
or MS word,  for example. I don't think  the MS office compatibility isn't as 
strong as it is in OOo, but that may be improved in version 2.  I am 
downloading the new beta for KOffice 2 as I type to check it out. I don't have 
many MS docs around, but I do have a couple Excel spreadsheets that I 
converted to opendocument format and still have to originals somewhere so I 
can compare.
